PVCC looks to harness technology to combat poverty

Seven years into the Orange Dot anti-poverty project, its founder Ridge Schuyler has good news and bad news to share.
The bad news is the same old story: Local housing costs continue to rise at a rate that pushes many on the brink of survival off that precipice.
The good news is that, Schuyler, who’s now the director of self-sufficiency programs at Piedmont Virginia Community College, may have hit on a tech-based solution.
