Opinion/Editorial: County wise to hold down bond costs

Albemarle County supervisors took the wiser course in opting to send a $59 million bond referendum to the voters in November, the vast majority of which — if approved — would go to schools.

And, yes, that’s likely to raise the tax rate.

But look at it this way: If both the school system and several other county departments had gotten everything they wanted, the referendum would have topped out at $108 million.
