Albemarle eying more bond referendums

Albemarle County voters likely will be asked to fund some capital projects via bond referendum in the November general election.

On Tuesday, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to have a work session to tell staff which projects it would like to see in the five-year Capital Improvement Plan, as well which projects could be included in a bond referendum.

“We’re going to show some different scenarios of different dollar amounts and different project mixes for them to get us closer to determining what they would like to have on a bond referendum in 2018,” said Lori Allshouse, director of the county’s office of management and budget.
