Consultants speak on plans for Albemarle courts, County Office Building
The Daily Progress Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2 a.m.
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday heard from a consultant about future actions the county could take to possibly relocate the courts, the County Office Building or both.
During the meeting, representatives from Stantec spoke about a final cost benefit analysis report on the different options to renovate or relocate the county courts or office building. Stantec officials also talked about the potential for the group to conduct a predevelopment market outreach campaign during the first half of 2018 to gauge interest in a public-private partnership.
A public hearing is scheduled for Monday on the options, and the board has an action item meeting scheduled for Wednesday to provide further direction to county staff.
