Teen Poetry Contest Winners Announced

The Jefferson-Madison Regional Library is pleased to announce the winners of its recent Teen Poetry Contest, held as an observance of Teen Read Week, an American Library Association initiative held each October.

The contest winners are Allie Humphrey, for the poem “Rat-a-Tat”; Maygan Reynolds, for the poem “I Am the Ocean”; and Ashley Snider, for the poem “Night Chorus.” Each winner receives a gift card to Barnes & Noble Bookstore, compliments of the Friends of the Library, and their poems will be entered in the annual teen poetry contest held by the Voice of Youth Advocates (VOYA) library journal. The poems were judged by a panel of local writers and instructors, and 29 entries were submitted.
