Albemarle voters likely to see bond referendum in November

Albemarle County residents most likely will see a bond referendum on the ballot this November.

On Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors directed staff to pursue a referendum for a new high school center.

The board’s proposed capital budget is about $60.6 million and includes about $35.1 million for the first phase of a high school capacity and improvement/modernization program, which included the costs of the design, construction, fixtures and land acquisition for the first non-pilot high school center.
