Albemarle board OKs some school safety measures

Originally set to discuss a one-time expense for safety film on classroom door windows, the Albemarle County School Board has opted to drop the item from consideration.

At its meeting Thursday, the board cited staff requests for more research prior to beginning the $65,000 project.

“We want to take the chance to look at some other products and make recommendations to the board,” said Pam Moran, schools superintendent.
