Moran makes recommendation for Albemarle elementary school redistricting
The Daily Progress Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 9 p.m.
Albemarle County Superintendent Pam Moran on Thursday put forward a redistricting recommendation to the School Board that was similar to the one an advisory committee gave her last month.
Moran suggested that the board approves a redistricting that would move 216 elementary students within three schools in the county’s urban ring in the next academic year.
The study was initiated in response to the Woodbrook Elementary School expansion and modernization project, which also will address capacity concerns at neighboring Greer and Agnor-Hurt elementary schools.
