The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday approved a through truck restriction study for two roads in the western part of the county.
The roads under study are Miller School Road between Plank Road and U.S. 250 and Owensville Road between U.S. 250 and Garth Road.
Kevin McDermott, Albemarle’s principal planner for transportation, said the frequency of complaints about truck traffic on rural roads, particularly in the western portions of the county, has been increasing.
“It’s been something since the day I walked in the door a year and a half ago I have been hearing a lot about,” he said.
