Laura Good bought her home in the White Hall area of Albemarle County almost four years ago for the view of the mountains.
Now, that view could be marred by a cell tower, which was approved earlier this month less than a mile behind Good’s home.
“It’s going to be smack dab right in the mountain view from sitting on my deck where I was supposed to retire and sip my coffee and live my life,” she said.
She initially found out about the proposed cell tower when she was taking a walk and saw people along her street taking photos of what looked to be her home and others on the street. She later found out that they were from the county, and a cellular company and had been taking photos for the balloon test for the tower.
