As CIO prepares to move on, county schools look to continue projects

After starting a project that eventually will allow every Albemarle County schools student to connect to wireless broadband from home, and being named National Chief Technology Officer of the Year in 2015, Vince Scheivert is taking his skills to Loudoun County.
Though Scheivert, who has been the chief information officer for Albemarle County Public Schools since 2011, is leaving before the next school year, Albemarle schools officials are confident the ongoing work will carry on in his absence.
