After recently denying the city insurance coverage for another lawsuit it is facing, the Virginia Municipal League has agreed to cover the city of Charlottesville’s legal costs in its case with Albemarle County over an interjurisdictional dispute at the Ragged Mountain Natural Area.
In an email Thursday, City Attorney Craig Brown confirmed that the municipal league would be covering the defense costs for the case. Brown did so after an attorney with the firm Zunka, Milnor and Carter, which is representing the city, shared new legal documents in the case with The Daily Progress.
