The Field School of Charlottesville’s special-use permit to move to a new site within Albemarle County was unanimously approved by the Board of Supervisors during their Wednesday meeting.
The Field School’s new facility will be located just west of the city on the south side of Barracks Road in the county’s Jack Jouett District. The school had been looking to relocate from its current Crozet site for the past several years, according to a county staff report.
The all-boys school’s proposed 25-acre campus is designed to accommodate up to 150 fifth- through eighth-graders in a 30,000-square-foot building, plans showed.
