Woodriff finalizes $5.7M purchase of Main Street Arena

More than two months after announcing the pending sale of the Main Street Arena in Charlottesville, media representatives for hedge fund founder Jaffray Woodriff, CEO of Quantitative Investment Management, announced Thursday his $5.7 million purchase of the property.
According to a news release from Payne, Ross and Associates, local architecture firm Wolf Ackerman, along with New Orleans firm Eskew, Dumez & Ripple, have been selected to create a design for a new building at the site.
The release says construction of a new building will begin in spring 2018.
