Council to talk incentives, conditions with Landmark developer

On Monday, the Charlottesville City Council will meet with developer John Dewberry to continue discussing what incentives the city might give the owner of the Landmark Hotel, which has languished for nearly a decade on the otherwise vibrant Downtown Mall.
Dewberry will appear at Monday’s City Council meeting to discuss the incentives and the expectation that he open the proposed luxury hotel by 2020, which city officials added after council and City Economic Development Director Chris Engel reviewed the proposal last month.
